you being you ...

...is choosing outfits that make you happy. Make you healthier in your take on life! Outfits that show the world all your good points, that give you the energy to show up every day (and night if you want!).

Personal styling is working with you and understanding you, to get that wardrobe in order to reflect the unique character you are.

Women often come to me with a rethink in mind, it might be they’ve gained weight, gained a job, or dropped a partner. I then find the gems that reflect them in their wardrobe, help them shine more brightly both outside and in.

 style stories...

Vanessa is a recruitment specialist who has been used to dressing for the corporate world, attending trade shows and doing sales calls internationally. Vanessa had built a wardrobe of outfits fit for both meeting candidates and the very smart and glamorous clients from the hotel and hospitality sector.

Following the lockdown and a more relaxed dress requirement at home, Vanessa now has a full (let’s say bursting) wardrobe which she wanted to scale down to items she will wear more often but didn’t know where to start. She also admitted that some of the older items she held on to might be from an age when she was a different shape.

I worked with Vanessa to define what clothes and styles would make the most of her figure. This is a good first step to reducing the size of any wardrobe. In the process of working through her lovely wooden freestanding wardrobe of clothes we also discovered more about her personality and the values she wanted to convey through what she wears – both in and out of work.
Alison has a passion for dogs and particularly helping those with behavioural challenges. In 2017 she established and now runs the successful Pitville Pets.com.

Having walked my slightly bananas dog Stan for a few years (my words not hers), she came to me to find out how to build her confidence through clothes outside of work.

“I spend my day scrunching through fields, sometimes in the hot sunshine, sometimes sopping wet, so I just always end up wearing dark practical clothes. Out of work I don’t know what colours to wear and I just don’t think that’s helping my confidence.”

So we worked through a colour analysis together and found that Alison’s true beauty came alive wearing warmer tones, particularly Autumn colours. She promptly scoured some local charity shops (big on reuse is our Alison) and found a gorgeous dress for an event and confidence in stepping out for socials in colour.
